Build this Classic Wall Cabinet with Steve Latta
Join nationally known furniture maker and educator, Steve Latta for a fast-paced intensive week long class learning a myriad of great furniture making techniques while making a great- and useful project.
This simple looking wall cabinet provides lessons in joinery and moldings, some common- and some not so common, which are all applicable to other furniture styles. It has a dovetailed case, splined back, dovetail-and-dadoed center shelf, dovetailed drawers, (you can pick the number and configuration) and mortise-and-tenon doors. The doors can be either paneled or glass and meet in the center with a beaded lap. This cabinet has a broad range of functions but to me it works best as a display of smaller, more precious objects collected throughout the years.
Here is an opportunity to learn a whole lot of joinery and construction techniques, all packed into a relatively small size project.
Steve is one of the most skilled and pragmatic furniture makers I know. His no-nonsense approach to solving furniture making problems has taught me a huge amount and I credit him with much of what I have learned over the years. Sign up today- Space is limited
