Pencil Post Bed with Steve Kain

This pencil post bed is a great project that will challenge your woodworking skills and will become a family heirloom. Making the tapered posts from 3 inch thick cherry, making the 14" wide headboard (from one or two boards), making the mortice and tenons and the draw bolts for the frame along with shaping the delicate teester rails at the top of the posts are only a few of the challenges in this ambitious class. As with all advanced classes, work at home (or in the shop by arrangement) between class sessions will be required in order to stay on track with the project. The bed can be made as a full size or Queen size. This class will be strictly limited to eight students. Tuition: $375.00 plus materials
