Pete Gedrys, owner and founder of Architectural Finishes LLC of East Haddam, CT, has been teaching classes in a variety of finishing disciplines for over 5 years. His enthusiastic and logical approach to teaching simplifies and "de-mystifies" a subject that many woodworkers find both confusing and intimidating.

He specializes in high-end restoration work which requires a comprehensive understanding of color, color matching and manipulation of finishes.

His professional work includes work on eighteenth and nineteenth century American and Continental furniture along with large scale commercial finishing projects including numerous libraries, raised-panel rooms and mantles. He has also done extensive work with gold leaf and his gilding projects include ceiling ornaments, weathervanes and both antique and new picture frames. Peter has been featured in Woodshop News and Fine Woodworking magazine and is considered to be one of the leading finishers and restoration experts in the Northeast.
