Arts & Crafts Details with Gary Rogowski
Gary Rogowski, associate editor for Fine Woodworking Magazine and the author of The Complete Illustrated Guide to Joinery will host this unique hands-on class featuring the many distinctive design details that are identified with the Arts & Crafts Furniture movement of the early twentieth century. Wedged thru tenons, square ebony plugs, "tusk" through tenons and even textured surfaces were all common elements of this period. Students will utilize these and a number of other design details in the construction of an authentic Arts & Crafts Style picture frame. Many of the magazine articles Gary has written have featured the techniques that will be presented and this is your opportunity to gain some first-hand knowledge and guidance while making a useful and unique picture frame.
